During the College's recent NAIDOC Week and Lumen Day celebrations, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff and students held sausage sizzles to raise money for a Western Australia Remote Aboriginal Community School; Tjuntjuntjarra, which is located in the Great Victoria Desert.
Lumen Christi College recently celebrated NAIDOC Week, with a number of engaging activities designed to help students and staff learn about and celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Over the course of this Semester, the Student Leadership Team have worked together to create a Student Code of Conduct. This document, written and produced by students, for students, encourages a standard of behaviour that they believe is important to maintain an inclusive and safe College environment. Our Student Leaders recently had the pleasure of visiting the Perth Children's Hospital Foundation to drop off a donation of ipads on behalf of our College.
Lumen Christi College students are continuing to focus their efforts on the issue of sustainability, with the College’s Student Leadership Team (SLT) recently establishing 15 additional paper recycling stations around the College.
Lumen Christi College has loaned our 3D printers to a local printing company to be used in the COVID-19 response.
The installation of 363 solar panels on the College's Sports Centre roof has seen a big decrease in the College's energy consumption.
