At Lumen Christi College, we believe every student should have the opportunity to be seen, supported and inspired to flourish. Guided by our Catholic faith and commitment to inclusion, we offer targeted support opportunities that recognise talent, potential and access to education. This includes our Music Scholarship program and First Nations Bursary, designed to support students in their educational journey at the College.

Music Scholarships (Years 7–9)

Lumen Christi College is committed to nurturing excellence in music and the performing arts. Music Scholarships are available to students entering Years 7–9 who demonstrate musical ability and a commitment to contributing to the vibrant musical life of the College.

Scholarships may be awarded on a full or partial basis and are offered for one year, with the opportunity to reapply annually.

Music Scholarships provide:

  • A full scholarship covering the cost of 32 individual 30-minute instrumental lessons, or

  • A partial scholarship covering 50% of the cost of 32 individual 30-minute instrumental lessons

  • Free instrument hire (where applicable)

Music Scholarship recipients are expected to:

  • Make a positive and active contribution to the College’s music program

  • Maintain a high standard of achievement on their chosen instrument

  • Enrol in Specialist Music classes for the duration of the scholarship

  • Participate in at least one College ensemble appropriate to their instrument

First Nations Bursary

Lumen Christi College is committed to working in partnership with First Nations families to support positive educational outcomes and future pathways for young people.

The First Nations Secondary Bursary is available to prospective students and is designed to assist families by reducing financial barriers to secondary education. Funded by the College, a limited number of bursaries are offered each year.

The bursary recognises and supports students who demonstrate:

  • A commitment to learning

  • Regular school attendance

  • Engagement in College life and community activities

Through this bursary, Lumen Christi College seeks to make a meaningful contribution to educational access, opportunity and long-term success for First Nations students.
