College Instrumental and Vocal Tuition Program
Music plays a significant role in the spiritual and cultural life of the College. Lumen Christi College provides an individual music tuition program that caters for students of all abilities, from beginner to advanced. The Program is run by professional music tutors, with lessons delivered in our Performing Arts Centre music rooms.
Instruments included in our tuition program are Voice, Flute, Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone , Baritone Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Bass Guitar, Piano and Drum Kit.
It is an expectation that students undertaking instrumental or vocal lessons participate in ensembles at the College. These include our Rock Band, Soul Band, College Choir, Ignite Worship Group and ACA Lumen. Our musicians participate in various College events inside and outside of the College including College Music Concerts, Recital Nights, Liturgies, Whole School Masses, ANZAC and Remembrance Day ceremonies, Presentation Night and various Music Festivals including the Catholic Schools Performing Arts Festival.

Primary Instrumental Program
Lumen Christi College enjoys a long-standing partnership with two of our local Catholic Primary Schools; Good Shepherd and Sacred Heart. The College facilitates the instrumental tuition that takes place at each of these schools from year 3 to 6 called the Primary Instrumental Program (PIP). We provide a number of collaborative performance opportunities between our feeder primary schools and our Lumen Christi College musicians that provide meaningful, supportive and interactive performances aimed to inspire a love of playing and performing with others.
