I am delighted to welcome you to Lumen Christi College, a Catholic, co-educational secondary school located in the suburb of Martin in the foothills of Perth.

With nearly 1000 students from Year 7 through to Year 12, the College continues to respond to the growing demand of families from within our local parishes and from the rapidly expanding surrounding areas. Our excellent facilities set amongst expansive College grounds allows our wonderful students to enjoy the many academic, cultural, spiritual and sporting opportunities that are available to them.

Our College name, Lumen Christi – ‘The Light of Christ’ calls us, individually and as a community, to be beacons of the Gospel. That is, people are a ‘light for others’, serving as school and community leaders and acting as agents of change in creating a more just society. Our Mission Statement emphasises the vital task of our College; ‘To form resilient young adults with a passion to learn and to be a light for others’. This mission is at the heart of all College pursuits and endeavours.

Lumen Christi College is an inclusive community that enjoys a strong reputation for the excellent pastoral care of our students. The College Staff value the dignity and worth of each and every student and strive to create a positive learning environment in which the personal needs of all students are catered for. Students are encouraged to seek personal excellence and challenged to discover and develop their talents not only for themselves, but in the service of others. We provide each and every student a diverse and balanced learning environment within a safe and caring community and are justifiably proud of our school.

Our College offers a wide range of quality educational opportunities that foster the development of each student. The curriculum programs are current, utilise the latest technology and respond to emerging trends in education and the ever-changing demands of our modern world. We provide established pathways for University entrance, extensive Vocational Education and Training programs and cater for students with special learning needs in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

All students are encouraged to engage fully in their academic studies as well as pursuing their interests in the wide range of co-curricular activities and specialised programs on offer.

Our College acknowledges the important role of parents as the primary educators of their children. We value and seek to strengthen meaningful partnerships with parents in the education of their children. At Lumen Christi, we constantly seek to instil and enhance a strong sense of community, recognising that student success and happiness emerge as a result of the support they receive from their families and the education they receive from their school.

We invite new families to become part of our wonderful school community and thank existing families for their ongoing support.

You are most welcome to contact us directly if you wish to visit our school or enquire further
