Lumen Christi College is pleased to present the first of an exciting Talk Series for the Year of St Joseph, with guest speaker Natalie Thomas.
St Joseph is the Patron of the Universal Church and all Christians. But who was he, what made him tick and why is he such a big deal?
This talk will explore the inner life of St Joseph, to reveal what made this ordinary man live an extraordinary hidden life, so that over 2000 years later, people around the world continue to turn to him for guidance and assistance in how to live life a fruitful life well, even in the face of hardship and adversity.
It will particularly focus on the relationship he lived with Christ and his blessed Mother and how this ordinary man allowed his ability for love and heroic virtue to be tested and purified, in order to be ‘The Shadow of The Father ’ who raised God Incarnate.
Natalie Thomas holds a Masters of Theology from the John Paul II Institute for Marriage and Family Studies in Melbourne and currently teaches theology at the University of Notre Dame, Fremantle and the Catholic Archdiocese of Perth’s Centre for Faith Enrichment. Natalie has an interest in how our relationship with God impacts our understanding of ourselves and our relationships with others.
