A Message from the Principal

Christmas Wishes
As we prepare for Christmas, looking forward to spending this special time with our family and friends, I have been reflecting on the year we have just experienced and the completely unexpected challenges and opportunities it has brought to us. This year, more than ever, the message of joy and hope that the Christmas season brings is particularly poignant.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the College staff for the care they have provided to our students throughout this tumultuous year, to the students for their adaptability and optimism and to parents and carers for trusting us with the education and care of your children. I wish you all a happy and blessed Christmas and a hope-filled New Year. We look forward to welcoming our students back to the College in 2021.

A Christmas Prayer
Loving God,
In this Christmas season we thank you for the great joy you have sent us in the birth of Jesus.
Help us to be the voice and hands of the angel sharing Jesus with one another this
Christmas season.
In Your name, we pray, Amen
.

In Week 2 of Term 4, our Class of 2020 officially graduated from Lumen Christi College. Our Year 7-11 students farewelled our Year 12s on Friday, 23 October at a whole-school mass and assembly in the morning, which was live-streamed to the graduates' family and friends. At the conclusion of the assembly, our Year 7 students formed a guard of honour for our graduates to exit through, mirroring the welcome that they themselves received from our Year 12s on their first day of school earlier in this year.

ACC Inclusive Sports - Sport Day

Our ACC Inclusive Sports team recently travelled to John XXIII College to take part in the ACC Inclusive Sports Sport Day. The day gave students the opportunity to try a large range of sports, and linked them to community sporting clubs which our students may be interested in joining. The sporting organisations included hockey, AFL, tennis, cricket, ten pin bowling, rowing and netball, and there was also a very popular music tent! Our students had a wonderful day learning many new skills and participating in modified games. To view photos, click here.
