The installation of 363 solar panels on the College's Sports Centre roof has seen a big decrease in the College's energy consumption.

Over the 2019/2020 summer holidays, Lumen Christi College had 363 solar panels installed on the Sports Centre in a move to decrease our electrical energy usage. The early results have seen the College reduce its dependency on the traditional power grid by up to 75%, based upon the units of power consumed in the comparative period last year.

"Lumen Christi College is committed to pursuing environmental sustainability and continues to seek ways to implement programs to assist in the achievement of this goal", said the College's Business Manager, Kim Hanson.

"As environmentally responsible citizens, we are seeking to implement other initiatives to encourage further sustainability throughout our community", said Mr Hanson.
