Provision of Contracted Bus Routes

Current families experiencing difficulties, or prospective families with concerns or specific requests regarding bus services to and from the College are encouraged to make this known.
Please help the College to try and overcome some of the transport issues being experienced by providing us with the details. Information can be sent by regular post or via email to lumen@lumen.wa.edu.au.

Provision for the Future:
In conjunction with Buswest, the College intends to establish two contracted bus routes to complement the existing bus and rail services provided by Transperth. Based on the information supplied by families to the College, Buswest can offer two new services that will cater for most of the families who responded to the feasibility survey. It is envisaged that the routes will cover the following suburbs:

Route 1 will cover Seville Grove, Armadale, Mount Nasura, Mount Richon and Roleystone.
Route 2 will cover Piara Waters, Harrisdale, Southern River, Canning Vale and Thornlie.

The links to the routes can be found on the right-hand side of this page. Buswest is prepared to modify the routes to ensure that students are provided with the most convenient service.
Other options may also be considered in response to demand.

Cost:
These additional bus services will be partly subsidised by the College, however, families will also be required to bear some of the cost. The aim would be to make the bus services affordable for our families.
Tickets would need to be purchased in advance from the College Finance Office, as bus drivers do not handle cash. Ticket purchases could be in books of 20, 40, 50 or 100 tickets or for an individual ride.

Registration of interest:
To assist the College in negotiating arrangements with Buswest, families who intend to make use of the new services are asked to register their intention with the College.
