College Selection Criteria

As a Catholic College, Lumen Christi gives priority to families from the local Catholic Community. However, all who wish to enrol their child in the College are required to follow the standard enrolment process. Through this process the Principal will assess each student’s ability to benefit from the personal, social and spiritual aspects of the College as well as the academic programmes available. Students and their parents must consent to abide by the College rules and expectations, accept and demonstrate sincerity in their willingness to support our Catholic ethos and contribute to the general life of the College.

The College's enrolment policy has a priority system that offers places to children in the following categories:
1. Catholic students from Catholic Primary Schools.
2. Catholic students from non-Catholic Primary Schools.
3. Siblings of non-Catholic students currently enrolled in the college. .
4. Non-Catholic students from Catholic Primary Schools.
5. Non-Catholic students from other Christian denominations.
6. Other non-Catholic students.

In exceptional circumstances the Principal may vary the above priorities to suit local circumstances at the time. Each enrolment application will also be viewed on its merit.

Should the number of applicants in the priority categories exceed the number of places that are available, preference will be given on the basis of the date of lodgement of the application.
